Description

Simon Lau, founder and practitioner at Faith Acupuncture, began his clinical journey in a specialized Memory Clinic—not as an acupuncturist, but as a registered Occupational Therapist. His early work focused on conducting cognitive assessments and guiding structured memory training programs for individuals living with dementia.
Before transitioning into Traditional Chinese Medicine, Simon spent five years in Hong Kong’s hospital system. Between 2009 and 2011, he worked within a Memory Clinic in the neurology and geriatrics department, supporting patients with dementia and collaborating closely with their families. His clinical experience also includes rotations in psychiatry and orthopedics, where he treated individuals with traumatic brain injuries.
Years of hands-on clinical exposure have given him a clear understanding of how cognitive conditions develop, progress, and affect both patients and caregivers.
In 2018, Simon earned his Master of Chinese Medicine from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and began practicing TCM full-time. Over time, his work has evolved to focus more specifically on cognitive health—combining his occupational therapy background with TCM expertise to support brain health and memory function.
His credentials include:

Registered Massage Therapist (RMT), Ontario
Member, Canadian Academy of Medical Acupuncture (CCAMA)

Master of Chinese Medicine, Chinese University of Hong Kong
