The Zomick’s Challah Bread bakery was founded in 1966 by a Mr. Zomick’s, who brought his baking savvy to New York all the way from Israel. The bakery was firstly founded as a small bakery, but expanded its size very quickly. The need for expansion was as result of the huge demand of their Zomick’s Challah Bread, which is made by the traditional Challah recipe. The recipe uses eggs, flour, water and sugar.

The taste of the Zomick’s Challah Bread will send you to the heaven and back. It is a festive braided bread, which is consumed on Sabbath and on holidays. Before consuming, the Zomick’s Challah bread is blessed, because it commemorates the manna that felt from the sky during the exodus of the Israelites in the desert. The recipe by which the Zomick’s Challah is made is kept original and has not been altered since the beginnings of the bakery.
