Interval training is a form of aerobic exercise that personal trainers use to help clients lose body fat, improve endurance and strengthen the heart. It is where your heart rate is at the low end of your aerobic range for a period of time with shorter periods of high-intensity exercise at the high end of your aerobic range. Here is an example: walking for four minutes and then either jogging or speed walking for one minute and then walking for four minutes, etc. Perform this 6-9 times and you will burn a lot of calories.Change your cardio routine around. Your body gets used to the same thing all the time. Think of people who walk all the time, say mail carriers, who are fat. They are active but they do the same thing day in and day out. Their body gets used to it. It is important to change your activity every 6-8 weeks. This will also prevent boredom and keep you on track to continual body fat loss.
