About Trip
The Annapurna Circuit Trekking is famous the world over and for good reason! This trek has a well-deserved reputation for its staggering beauty including mountain views, wide biodiversity and cultural highlights experienced along the journey. This wondrous Annapurna Circuit Trekking around the Annapurna range takes trekkers through lush lowlands on up to alpine highlands surrounded by the snowy Himalaya.

The gradual rise from the hills allows for proper acclimatization to altitude on the way up to the highlands. Eventually the scenic trails arrive at majestic mountain surroundings with up-close views of the Himalaya.

The Annapurna Circuit Trek includes some of the best mountain scenery in the world. Along this iconic trek we can enjoy a wider range of biodiversity and topography than almost any other area of the Himalaya. Along the way we will have memorable views of lofty peaks that soar into the blue skies.

The Annapurna Circuit Trekking follows along two major river valleys and makes a counter-clockwise journey. Our Annapurna Circuit Trek starts after a scenic drive through terraced farmland to the pleasant town of Besisahar. The drive takes half of a day and then our trekking begins as we follow the Marsyangdi River valley through charming villages and rural farmland with terraced paddy fields. We pass astonishingly landscape and visit a riverside hot springs on the way up to the highland settlements of Braga and Manang.

From here take a suitable pace for adequate acclimatization to the high elevation as we make our way up to and over the thrilling high pass known as the Thorang La (5,416m ,17,769ft). We savor the achievement of reaching the desolate pass and then make our way into a completely different Himalayan valley of the Kali Gandaki River.

We descend through more wondrous landscape with different cultural traditions as we follow the Kali Gandaki River to the south. This route includes the deepest gorge on the planet is along an ancient trade way with Tibet.

From the Annapurna Circuit Trekking route, the majestic mountain scenery includes Annapurna I, (8,091 m , 26,545ft) 10th highest mountain on the planet and first peak over 8,000 m to have ever been summited (reached by a French team in 1950). Additional mountain peaks viewed include Dhaulagiri, (8,167 m ,26,7795ft), world’s 7th highest, Manaslu, (8,163 m , 26,781ft), world’s 8th highest, and Machhapuchhre, 6,993m (22,943ft), a sacred mountain off limits to mountaineering.

There is a lot to explore along the Annapurna Circuit trek including sacred caves, hot springs, alpine lakes and magnificent monasteries.

Please Note : Our Annapurna Circuit Trekking has set departure dates from both Pokhara and Kathmandu and this trek can be personalized to accommodate your specific wishes and timetable. We can arrange a shorter version of the 21-day Annapurna Circuit Trek and often travelers like to combine both the Annapurna Circuit Trek and the Annapurna Base Camp Trek.
